The electricians at Murphy Contractors did a great job working on my older home. I really appreciate that they took the time to thoroughly troubleshoot the electrical issue I was having. Prior electricians had seen the old breaker box and decided this must be the issue, but couldn't say replacing the box would solve the problem. Alvin carefully analyzed the problem and found the actual issue, rather than pointing to an expensive solution. I will definitely call Alvin and the team when it is time to upgrade my breaker box or any other electrical work.

Alvin Murphy of Murphy Contractor Service was professional and very knowledgeable of the electrical issues I had in my home. He completed the required task including installing flood lights over my garage and correcting 2 light switches inside my home. I will definitely be using his services again. A job well done.

They were very knowledgeable, experienced, positive attitude, great technical skills, and explained everything to me before proceeding with the work. They provided an invoice, completed the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up and hauled the debris after the work was done. Murphy Contractor's Services has done many jobs for me and I'm happy with them all. His prices were reasonable and his work excellent. I just love my new kitchen and he did it from (top recessed lights) to bottom (ceramic flooring). You can't go wrong with hiring him. December 2025...We used Murphy Contractors again to update our 1990's bathroom. We are so pleased with our new bathroom. Al removed our oversized soaker tub, and replaced it with a stand alone tub which allowed us to increase the shower area. He did a fantastic job and suggested improvements that were impressive, like the rain shower head hung from the ceiling. Thanks you, Al, for working your magic and beautifying our home.

We are beyond grateful for Mr. Alvin! He came out at the last minute on Christmas Eve 2024 to fix a severe leak, and his thoroughness in diagnosing and solving the problem was impressive. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were so pleased with his work that we had him return to install an EV charger for my husband’s new Tesla and two large, heavy garage ceiling racks. I liked him so much that I even referred him to my parents and they're hard to please but they liked him as well. Despite his busy schedule, he communicates well and is upfront about his availability. We also appreciate that he's a general contractor who can handle just about anything. Best of all, he's honest and fair - he doesn’t overcharge just because he can. It’s rare to find someone so skilled, reliable, and trustworthy. Highly recommend!
